Gwyneth Paltrow has raised questions among fans after posting a home video that sparked concern about her health.
The 52-year-old actress and wellness entrepreneur, known for her roles in Iron Man and her Goop brand, shared a cooking clip on Instagram. However, it wasn’t her grain-free pancakes that caught viewers’ attention.
Fans quickly spotted a round device on Paltrow’s arm, which looked like a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM). These devices help people with diabetes track their blood sugar levels. The sensor was visible when she raised her arms at the start of the video.
In the clip, Paltrow prepared almond and coconut pancakes with strawberry compote. While many enjoyed the cooking content, several followers focused on the patch on her arm.
One fan asked, “Why do you have a type 1 diabetes blood glucose monitor? Are you diabetic?” Another commented, “Are we diabetic? Round arm sensor?”
Dressed casually in shorts and a tank top, Paltrow continued cooking as speculation grew. Some viewers identified the patch as a FreeStyle Libre, a popular CGM device for diabetes management. “Is she diabetic? Looks like a Libre on her arm,” wrote one follower.
The video ended with Paltrow stacking pancakes and topping them with fresh strawberry sauce, while Coldplay’s “Strawberry Swing” played in the background.
She captioned the post, “Grain-free almond and coconut pancakes with a strawberry compote situation to kick off the holiday weekend – made in my favourite Goop pot (on sale now).”
Paltrow has not yet addressed the questions about the monitor. Whether it is used for diabetes or another health purpose remains unclear, but fans remain curious and concerned.
This is not the first time Gwyneth Paltrow’s health habits have drawn public attention, and it likely won’t be the last.
