Most people only pay attention to post-meal blood sugar when measuring blood sugar, because after eating provides energy and nutrition, blood sugar fluctuations are often the case, as long as the blood sugar measured is within the normal range, there is no need to worry. However, in order to actually assess their own blood sugar level, blood sugar measurement in other time periods can not be ignored, because there are 24 hours a day, blood sugar fluctuations at different stages are different, and it needs to be measured several times, which is of great significance for the evaluation of diseases.

When to measure blood sugar, which two times should not fall? Most people will choose to measure blood sugar after eating, postprandial blood sugar is indeed higher than fasting blood sugar, but there is an indicator for reference, if only to adjust postprandial blood sugar, it is far from enough, but also in the fasting state of blood sugar. Fasting is the time before eating, 6:00 to 9:00 in the morning is the most suitable.

Checking fasting blood glucose is helpful for the evaluation of diabetes. If the fasting blood glucose is abnormal, it indicates that the function of the islet is reduced, and targeted treatment is needed.

When measuring blood sugar, it also involves the blood sugar of two hours after a meal. For three meals a day, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner, it is recommended to take turns monitoring two hours after eating, not necessarily on the same day, but it can be changed constantly, so as to understand the blood sugar control effect and help evaluate the condition.People who can do both treatment and good habits, the effect is ideal, to understand the details involved in controlling blood sugar, do well in life, and adhere to a period of time will find that their diabetes condition has been improved.

To sum up, only measuring postprandial blood sugar is far from enough, because postprandial blood sugar can be divided into various conditions, and the blood sugar after breakfast, lunch and dinner should be measured in turn. Of course, fasting blood sugar is also involved. Only by recording the results in detail and comparing them with the standard range of blood sugar can we understand the trend of disease.
