1. Dietary Choices

Diet is one of the most significant factors influencing blood sugar levels. The types and amounts of food consumed can directly affect how much glucose enters the bloodstream. Carbohydrates, in particular, have the most substantial impact on blood sugar, as they are broken down into glucose during digestion. The following dietary factors can cause blood sugar levels to rise:

Refined Carbohydrates: Foods such as white bread, pastries, and pasta are made from refined flour, which is quickly converted into glucose. Consuming these types of foods can cause a rapid spike in blood sugar levels.

Sugary Foods and Drinks: High-sugar foods and beverages, including soda, candy, and sweetened snacks, lead to an immediate increase in glucose levels. They are also often low in fiber and nutrients, which further exacerbates the problem.
